The locomotives of the BR 80 was envisaged as shunting at the large stations of the German Railways. Various locomotive factory delivered to 1928 a total of 39 machines. After the last war, the majority of the locomotives remained in East Germany and was in use until 1968 when DB was the last locomotive out of service in 1965
